SUMMARY
Originally created in 1939 as a bespoke product for two Portuguese clients, the Portugieser has remained a mainstay of the dress lineup in the IWC catalogue. The ref. IW515301 presented here is something special among this long-running model line. Limited to only 500 pieces, it's the 14th Laureus special edition from IWC, but also the first Portugieser to feature a mono-pusher chronograph - a much-loved complication by collectors and enthusiasts. The 46mm steel case features typical Portugieser design attributes such as slim feuille hands and applied Arabic numerals, and neatly integrates a power reserve indicator.
